🏜Hello Fitfam! I know it’s been a minute, but as you can see, I’ve been a little busy, lol. No, this isn’t from over-indulging in holiday treats. My hubby and I will be welcoming a baby girl to our family in June!🤗🤩😍 Being preggers and sick as a dog didn’t keep me away from my workout room or made me slack up though, I’ve still been crawling out of bed at 4am every morning to get some exercise in, which actually made me feel better (at least in the moment).😁🏜 🏜

I used all the weights for my workout this morning😁. Seriously, I used 3lbs all the way to 15lbs. I saw the irony in this because it shows my progression with weights over the years. When I started my fitness journey I could only handle 3lbs weights and I slowly progressed to where I can do 20lbs now depending on the workout. ♡

I struggled so much with the 3lbs at that time that I never saw myself being able to handle 10lbs let alone 20. It took a lot of blood, sweat and tears to get to this point. It took persistence, perseverance, patience and will power and it's been difficult but completely worth it! I'm not where I want to be by a long shot but I'm getting there. 💪 ♡

So don't give up. Don't quit. Stay strong and keep pushing through and you'll be amazed at what you are capable of😁. If I can do it, being the person that hated gym class and only ran if I was being chased, then anyone can😎 ♡ 🏜Oh and if you need a recipe for today's lunch, a new recipe is posted on my blog today. Chest and arms workout in the smallest hotel fitne

Chest and arms workout in the smallest hotel fitness center I've ever seen. It is so small that if someone comes in while I'm there using the weights they have to leave and come back when I'm done....or maybe they just leave because of me period🤔. Either way I make sure to be there by 6am so I'm the first one in there😁 ♡

Also did 20 minutes of stairs on 20 flights of stairs😮. I almost had to crawl on my hands and knees back to my room after all that😟. ♡

Hope everyone had a great week and looking forward to a greater weekend. My vacation is almost over and it'll be back to reality in a few days😢 ♡

Long time no see🙂. I'm still here, still alive and kicking butt. ◇

July has been a sad month for me. I felt like my body betrayed me. What is the point of putting in all the work and effort to be healthy if the one time you need your body to play ball it doesn't. I've spent a good portion of the last couple weeks searching for the answer to that question. I've felt out of control which is a big deal for me because I need control over every aspect of my life. ◇

The good thing is, because I needed to feel in control, I've been giving myself a pounding with my workouts. ◇

I'm on vacation, because I desperately need a change of scenery and I've been hitting the gym religiously every day at every hotel I've stayed in, upper body, lower body, abs, cardio you name it I'm doing it. ◇

I may have felt like my body betrayed me but I didn't call it quits, I didn't throw in the towel. Instead I've worked harder than I have in the whole time since I started working out and this has allowed me to retain control of my body in spite of everything. If this was 6 years ago, I would be on the couch eating junk food and refusing to workout because I wouldn't see the point. But this is 2018 and things are different now! ◇

So, tried pullups again today😁. I'm getting bet

So, tried pullups again today😁. I'm getting better. I couldn't pull myself up at all when I first started this. The pullup assist helps alot though I have to say. 😊 ♡

What this means is, as my teachers used to tell me, practice makes perfect and if at first you dont succeed, try again and again. This reminds me of when I couldn't do a single pushup to save my life and I persevered through that hurdle. So, I will keep trying until pullups are no longer my nemesis😏. ♡

So I did it! Went running today after almost 6 weeks. It was only a 5k...and I laugh at myself as I say this because a couple years ago ONLY a 5k was all I could do. I guess with a couple half marathon medals under my belt I earned the right to scoff at a 5k😁. Some upper body training today..AND was able to do an impressive amount of pullups with the help of this pullup assist band thing here...a total life saver this thing is! ♡

Well this week is a wrap for this program. Gonna try to go running tomorrow...I haven't gone in a while because the heat has been godawful and since I haven't been feeling like myself lately I didn't want to risk passing out or something. But I'm having withdrawal symptoms from not having run in a while so I'm gonna go tomorrow...wish me luck😁 ♡

I see biceps😁 I've always hated my arms...I still do, to the point that I'm not even sure what my arms really look like because I've had a distorted view of them for such a long time that I think I see what I wanna see😔. ♡

I am trying to learn to love the parts of my body I'm insecure about because I've spent so much time hating them already which hasn't really gotten me anywhere. So I keep working on my arms and believe one day I will look in the mirror and see beautiful toned arms 💪 ♡

Lower body workout today. Didn't have a good workout morning today. I haven't been at 100% for a few weeks now and honestly I am just proud to say that in spite of that I haven't given up and I still wake up at 4am and go to my fitness room and complete my workouts. ♡

This is a testament to how far I've come because a few years ago, if I was feeling the way I am now I would've totally given up. However, because this is my lifestyle, even if I'm not feeling like myself I suck it up and do what I need to do.💪 ♡

Back to the Monday grind. Today was upper body mostly pushups and pullups. If you've been following me then you know I've been struggling with those darn pullups. Well I found out this weekend that my youngest sister can do pullups effortlessly! Well, if you have siblings then you understand what's gonna happen now...yeap, I'm gonna have to ensure that not only can I do pullups too but that I can do them better lol. With that motivation firmly in my pocket I was able to do a few today, with the help of a chair but still.😎 Motivation comes in different forms...whatever it takes to push you to a different level or get through a weakness it doesnt matter as long as it works.💪 Happy Monday y'all😁

Been up since 130am because we have a very early flight this morning. I put my dedication to the test by debating whether I should wake up at 1am so I could get my workout in....turns out I'm not as dedicated as I thought😂. Will have to figure something out at the hotel later.

I didn't get much sleep on account of my 4 year old waking me up at 130am saying there was a dragonfly in his bed and he was scared...like seriously lol. So he crawled into bed with hubby and I and even though it is a king sized bed I found myself at the very edge of the bed with him literally almost on top of me😐. Needless to say it was not a restful night for me😞. Oh well, #momlife right. At least I still got my workout in this morning🤷‍♀️ ♡
