So, it’s another week and as promised I will be sharing another one of my homemade salad dressings with you. As I mentioned in my last post, I make my own salad dressings now because I want to know exactly what I am eating. I work so hard to be healthy and I don’t want my efforts derailed by some unpronounceable ingredient that I’ve never heard of and have no idea how it will affect my body. It is a lot easier than you would think to make your own salad dressing, it’s really just a matter of experimenting with different ingredients and seeing what tastes good. I prefer creamy dressings so I make a lot of my dressings with Avocado, but the one I will be sharing with you today is a non-creamy dressing.
As always, the measurements are for a big batch because I meal prep my salad and add the dressing at the time of meal prep. But, you can also save this dressing in the fridge for up to five days and use as needed. I used to do that but it ended up being more convenient for me to add the dressing at the time of assembly. The link for the salad dressing containers are below, you can get a bunch of them in bulk and use them when you need them.
Polar Ice PI125200CT 125 Count Plastic Jello Shot Cups with Lids, 2-Ounce
White Wine Vinegar Salad Dressing
1 Cup White Wine Vinegar
1 Cup Diced Onions
3 Cloves Garlic
2 Tablespoons Raw Unfiltered Honey (Regular Honey is good too)
1 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/4 Cup Stone Ground Mustard
2 Tablespoons Paprika
1 Tablespoon Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
Salt to taste
Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
Add to you salad as needed and save the rest in the fridge for up to five days.
I like spicy food so you will notice black pepper or red pepper flakes as ingredients in almost all my dressing recipes, but unless I indicate that the recipe is supposed to be a spicy one, you can omit the pepper.
Hope you give this recipe and all the others a try. Leave me some comments and let me know what you think 🙂
